Description
1959 Land Rover Series II
One owner from new;
49,000 genuine miles; petrol; barn stored since 1993; rare to
find
This 1959 petrol 88" Series II was bought new by Mr Perkins of
Broadheath near Worcester. He used it to travel to Worcester market each week,
and Ross market once a month until he gave up driving in 1985.
It was to
remain stored away in his barn until 1993 when he passed away, at which point it
was driven the 11 miles to his neice's house to be stored away for the next 29
years.
Retaining its nice Worcestershire number YNP 98 which is still
recorded on the DVLA database, bidders are advised that there is no paperwork so
the new owner will need to apply for a duplicate V5C in the normal
way.
This straight low mileage example will need the application of the
welding torch to the chassis, but it is eminently restorable and looks like a
super project for the winter months.
