1966 Austin A40
No Reserve
Running and
riding example to use and improve
Purchased by the vendor in 2018 as
a second car cum runabout, this 1966 A40 has provided reliable motoring since
acquisition. He advises that the speedo packed up about 30 miles ago which is
fustrating.
The front valence and offside front wing aren't in their
first flush of youth, although the rest of it looks serviceable and there are a
couple of repair panels included for those with some time and
inclination.
There are some other useful spares too, including a set of
springs, steering box, carb and various lamps and switches. The gearbox is a bit
noisy, but the vendor has lived with that for the last 1,000 miles or so and
reports that it hasn't been getting any worse.
Far from being a basket
case, this A40 looks good fun and is on offer at No Reserve so the highest bid
buys the car...
