1971 Fiat 500L
Imported in 2018 as a
one-owner car from Italy; extensive work and appropiate upgrades undertaken
since arriving in UK; a most attractive and usable 500
This 1971 Fiat 500L
was first registered in UK April 2019, following importation from Italy by the
vendor in 2018. The car apparently had one Italian lady owner who only used it
to drive to church and a nearby town for shopping.
All work on the car has been done in UK and there are
receipts for the parts and work carried out. It was resprayed in its
original Rosso Corallo and received a new bonnet. Parts and upgrades include: a
Fiat 126 synchromesh gearbox to save
double de-clutching; new brakes and wheel bearings; a new wiring harness;
ignition coil; fuel pump; electronic ignition; rebuilt starter motor; new
exhaust and sportier Weber carburettor. The engine had only done a low mileage
but was fully serviced and valve clearances and timing
checked.
A new sunroof and frame was fitted and
new door cards for the mainly original interior. All the chrome is original and
the nudge bars are included in the spares box, which also has the original jack.
The repainted wheels have new tyres, including the spare.
The car has been kept in the dry since being in UK and never driven
in the rain, making this sensibly upgraded 500 an attractive prospect that
is ready to enjoy.
